Low Kick Knockout Technique – 60 Second Fight Breakdown
This week’s video is inspired by an issue professional & amateur fighters often face in the ring. The low kick can be a deadly technique when set up correctly. To get the finish, whether it be via low kick or right hand, it takes another level of understanding once our opponent is aware of the hunt that we are on.
I often only coach and create videos based on real ring experience as coaching in combat sports is more complicated then some simplify it to be. Sometimes what we drill doesn’t translate in the high-pressure situations that we face inside of the ring; and for that reason, I draw on real obstacles that I know you will too one day face in sparring and in the ring – all followed by a technical recipe for success.
Many of your opponents may know which weapons you tend to favor, but that doesn’t mean that you should stop doing what works. Would Petrosyan abandon his southpaw game knowing that his opponent has watched a ton of film? No. The weapons remain the same, the application and the trajectory of the weapon are what differs.
