Power from the Ground Up – Muay Thai
I believe in seasons. Sticking with a skill and really hammering it in until the body becomes proficient at it, then taking the time to begin a new task. In the last article – Deadlift and Squat Tutorial we went over two hip dominant movements.
Now that you have these down, we learn to transfer the force from the ground and into our upper body – building explosiveness throughout. Here is the progression into the clean and press taught by JSA’s Matt Bryers:
